GPA Receives Green Flame Award

Gus Perdikakis Associates Inc. (GPA) is very proud to announce that our employee John Lampl played a key role with our client Procter & Gamble in receiving the prestigious "Green Flame Award."

The award was presented at the International Consortium for Fire Safety, Health and the Environment by the office of the US Environmental Protection Agency in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Green Flame is a stamp of approval that provides assurance to consumers, government authorities, and procurement agencies that the product meets or exceeds the highest existing standards for fire safety, health, and environmental quality.

P&G is one of several companies who received an award from The International Consortium for Fire Safety, Health and the Environment and the EPA of New England for collaborating on the development of a fire-safe and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional wooden and plastic pallets. This new pallet is the ALEX M1 aluminum pallet, produced by ALEX Pallet Systems LLC. P&G's specific role in the development was to test this pallet in a real-world environment. Over the last two years, we provided ALEX with our specifications and requirements, and then tested their pallet samples in our logistics systems.

Dale Hanson, Section Manager represented P&G at the award event for Global MDO PS Logistics Engineering, and John Lampl, an employee of GPA who works for Dale and has led a project at P&G to identify future pallet options and sources for the company. Dale and John have led the testing of the ALEX pallet at P&G.

The consortium leaders expressed "It is a pleasure for us to share in the recognition of several of the industry's leaders for their contributions in product stewardship and fire and environmental safety. Green Flame provides these companies with a competitive advantage and will stimulate competition and innovation in the name of fire safety, health and the environment. Green Flame provides these companies with a competitive advantage and will stimulate competition and innovation in the name of fire safety, health and the environment".

GPA is proud of the contributions of fifteen-year veteran employee and leader John Lampl and appreciated the opportunity our client, Dale Hanson and P&G to contribute towards receiving this recognition and award.
