New Years Letter 2010

New Years Letter 2010

To help celebrate GPA’s 30-year anniversary each employee was given a black shirt embroidered with the GPA logo to commemorate a milestone of company history.  The shirt is symbolic in helping to recognize the employees who represent the fabric of GPA.

I am so very proud of our employees many of whom have been associated since the company was founded in 1979 and that each day enhances the service, expansion and reputation of the company.  I am also fortunate to have a management team of finance, business development, recruiting, and operations that work together to achieve our annual growth goals.  Further, I am pleased to announce that The Cincinnati Business Courier has again recognized GPA as one of the regions top 25 staffing firms for 2010 for the 5th consecutive year.

GPA’s purpose and mission is to provide leading edge, high quality technical resource solutions and building long-term client relationships.  We have shared in the pain of economic challenges that our clients and customers have endured this past year.  GPA has remained steadfast in personal and consistent communications and support with its clients through tough as well as better times.

The good news is that the recession is ending and needs for project focused talent and solutions growing.  We have always strived to offer cost effective paths to profitability for to help our clients succeed means GPA is succeeding.

I want to thank each of you whether a customer or employee for the opportunity to serve and for the service you provide.  I want to thank those members of the “A Team” that support GPA by providing banking, accounting, financial, legal, information technology and insurance consultation and advice.

On behalf of Jo Ann and my family and GPA management and staff, I want to extend the blessings of the holiday season and a Happy and Healthy New Year 2010.

Gus G. Perdikakis

President

GPA Receives Green Flame Award
Gus Perdikakis Associates Inc. (GPA) is very proud to announce that our employee John Lampl played a key role with our client Procter & Gamble in receiving the prestigious  “Green Flame Award.”

The award was presented at the International Consortium for Fire Safety, Health and the Environment by the office of the US Environmental Protection Agency in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Green Flame™ stamp of approval provides assurance to consumers, government authorities and procurement agencies that the product meets or exceeds the highest existing standards for fire safety, health and environmental quality.

P&G is one of several companies who received an award from The International Consortium for Fire Safety, Health and the Environment and the EPA of New England for collaborating on the development of a fire-safe and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional wooden and plastic pallets. This new pallet is the ALEX M1 aluminum pallet, produced by ALEX Pallet Systems LLC. P&G’s specific role in the development was to test this pallet in a real-world environment. Over the last two years, we provided ALEX with our specifications and requirements, and then tested their pallet samples in our logistics systems.

Dale Hanson, Section Manager represented P&G at the award event for Global MDO PS Logistics Engineering, and John Lampl, an employee of GPA who works for Dale and has led a project at P&G to identify future pallet options and sources for the company. Dale and John have led the testing of the ALEX pallet at P&G.

The consortium leaders expressed “pleasure for us to share in the recognition of several of industry’s leaders for their contributions in product stewardship and fire and environmental safety.   Green Flame provides these companies with a competitive advantage and will stimulate competition and innovation in the name of fire safety, health and the environment”.

GPA is proud of the contributions of fifteen-year veteran employee and leader John Lampl and appreciated the opportunity our client, Dale Hanson and P&G to contribute towards receiving this recognition and award.
